she never knew me by don williams written by the great Bob McDill

She packed up her suitcase and walked to the door
She said she won't come back like she's done before
I bet she's in Dallas before it gets dark
I know she's thinking she's breaking my heart
She knows I love her so she thinks I'll crawl
But she never knew me, she never knew me, she never knew me at all

She knows I love her, I know I need her
God knows to please her, I've tried and I've tried

By now if I know her, she's changed her mind
She'll pull off the highway, and have a good cry
And then like a lost child, she'll want to come home
She'll think I'm waiting, there by the phone
She'll stop in some cafe, and give me a call
But she never knew me, she never knew me, she never knew me at all

You Never Gave up on Me by Crystal Gyale

For all the times you stood by me,
Through right and wrong,
For being there to catch me when I’d fall,
I love you for your faith in me,
For all the joys you've given me,
But there’s one thing makes me love you most of all.

You never gave up on me when I was giving love up on you,
Every time I thought this love can't work
You stayed to see it through.
You never gave up on me when I was making
Things rough on you
And you showed me what it really means to love somebody.

And though sometimes we might not see thing eye to eye,
You've always met me more than half the way,
So for all the times I've let you down
And you could have packed your things and gone,
I love you most of all because you stayed.

And you never gave up on me
When I was given love up on you,
Never mattered who was right or wrong,
You stayed to see it through,
You never gave up on me,
When I was making things rough on you,
And you showed me what it really means to love.

There were times I just knew you,
Did not understand the moods,
All those long and sleepless nights I put us through,
But you stuck by me anyway,
Gave me love everyday
And now there’s nothing,
In this world I wouldn't do for you.

Cause you never gave up on me,
When I was giving love up on you,
Every time I thought this love can't work,
You stayed to see it through,
You never gave up on me when,
I was making things rough on you,
And you showed me what it really means to love.

some people find their strength in promises, they won't keep

others chase the night into light

if available they find their passion by taking

they give only ambiguous words for true hearts

who are left with unfounded guilt for not

mesmerizing their master, a penny never

has a luster but it diverts the eyes

they resort to misplaced blame when they never

sparkle like the anomaly, their affection - who becomes

an infection of the thoughtless masquerade
